Sydenham Hill Estate Tenants and Residents Association aims to make this website usable by everyone. Our target is WCAG 2.2 level AA. We have not completed a full accessibility assessment, so we cannot yet claim to meet every requirement.
Using the website
- Use a keyboard to follow links and operate controls. The “Skip to content” link takes you past the navigation.
- Use your browser’s zoom controls to enlarge the pages.
- Find buildings in the text directory below the estate map, without selecting a shape on the map.
- Read financial figures in tables alongside charts. Wide tables can be scrolled separately from the page.
- Pause automatic updates in the events directory if you need more time to read or use the controls; homepage listings refresh when you load the page.
What we have checked
On 7 September 2026, we checked public pages and sample residents-only pages using synthetic data with automated accessibility tools in Chromium. We also checked narrow layouts, enlarged text, keyboard focus, and the map controls. These checks help us find problems, but do not replace testing with people who use assistive technology.
What still needs work
We have not yet tested the complete website with screen readers or across all browsers and assistive technologies. Some form errors ask you to check your details without identifying the specific field. We have not assessed every linked document or external website for accessibility.
Report a problem
Use the contact form to tell us which page or feature causes difficulty, what happened, and what would help. You can also request information in another format. The form states when email delivery is unavailable. Please do not include sensitive personal information.
